On August 11–12, 2025, Danmission conducted a special visit to the Zanzibar Climate Change Alliance (ZACCA) office in Tunguu, Zanzibar. The visit was part of a broader effort to deepen strategic collaboration between the two organizations, particularly in the areas of climate advocacy, environmental conservation, and community resilience. This engagement marked a significant milestone in their partnership, reinforcing shared goals under ZACCA’s 2022–2026 Strategic Plan. During the visit, Danmission facilitated a hands-on training session on Outcome Harvesting, a participatory Monitoring and Evaluation tool designed to capture meaningful change and assess program impact. ZACCA staff actively engaged in the workshop, learning how to identify behavioral and policy shifts influenced by their interventions. The training not only enhanced technical capacity but also fostered mutual learning and reflection, laying the groundwork for more evidence-based programming. The visit concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment to joint initiatives, knowledge exchange, and continued support for grassroots climate action in Zanzibar. Both organizations expressed enthusiasm for future collaboration, recognizing the importance of shared values and complementary strengths. The strengthened partnership is expected to amplify ZACCA’s impact in climate justice and sustainable development across the region.
